(Tampa, FL) – Brian Blair, Candidate for State House of Representatives in District 47, celebrated a well run campaign with close friends and family while awaiting the final tally. Blair edged out Irene Guy in a 4 person Race. Both Irene Guy and Jamie Grant were both financially supported by Tallahassee Special Interest Groups through several mail pieces.
Blair ran a great campaign; he showed up and battled the rain to personally greet the voters as they entered their respected voting locations. He fought to spread the word about his ideas and values and how they will make Florida a better place to live.
“I would proudly endorse Jamie Grant if he makes a commitment to oppose the 1 cent Light Rail Tax. This amounts to a 14% Sales Tax increase which would adversely affect
Hillsborough County and the State of Florida. Hillsborough County sends 6 cents of their sales tax revenue to Tallahassee.”, Blair stated.
When asked, “What will you do now?". Blair said he will take some time to enjoy his family, and continue helping charitable causes by working with the community as he has done so many years in the past.
He concluded with, “Again I want to thank all those that volunteered their time, their talent and donated their finances to the campaign.
