Phoenix is the capital city of the State of Arizona and is a very important commercial center of the United States. Due to its commercial importance it is the seat of massive air traffic which is taken up by the airports in the district. The aviation in the region includes the both the civil and the military aviation. A large number of flights are received and departed every day.Civil aviation includes all kinds of scheduled and the non scheduled flights. Many national and International scheduled flights are received at the Sky Harbor International Airport daily. These airlines use a diverse range of aircrafts that are manufactured differently in vari ous parts of the world. For Example Airbus that is being manufactured in Europe is used by the British Airways. Other important aircrafts are Boeings, Bombardier and Embraer. The Boeings are manufactured in USA, Bombardier in Canada and Embraer in Brazil. The different parts of these aircrafts are manufactured in different parts of the world which are them imported by the manufactures to their personal assembly plants and assembled to make the aircraft.

Many airports do not cater any commercial flights they are meant to serve only the general aviation. These include all kinds of recreational air transportation like balloons and parachutes and gliders. Balloons were the very first of the air transport that was developed by the man centuries ago. The city hosts some of the most cherished balloon festivals. Phoenix receives the chartered planes from many countries. These chartered planes bring the foreign delegates and tourists to the city of Phoenix. Some of the chartered planes are providing cargo and passenger air services to the domestic people. These domestic companies include Baha Bush Pilots, Southwest Aircraft Charter, and the Desert and Island Travel. The medical ambulance service is also provided in the region by the name of Air Ambulance Worldwide, Inc. and also AAWI. Some companies provide short distance helicopter facility to the people. The medical ambulance is the most vital of all the air transport facilities that are present in the city.

These ambulances are equipped with all sorts of masks and emergency equipment that is needed. Some of the ambulances also provide a doctor and the intensive care facilities. Forest fire fighting is another important service that is present in the region. The aircrafts are provided with all the necessary equipment for extinguishing the fire. The pilots fly over to the forests and spray water and carbondioxide from their planes that is used to get rid of the spreading fire. Also necessary life saving equipment is present in these crafts to recover any living men. The city of Phoenix also houses many flight schools. This form of aviation is most common here. A large number of pilots are getting training in these pilot schools. These pilot schools include not only the local pilot schools but also some international schools. A small part of the general aviation has been formed by the traffic reporters, and the police air patrols. These people soar in the sky to provide safety to the general public on the ground.
