Lanxi River，as a national scenic spot， flows through Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. Covered by graceful water and marvelous mountains ，there produced many scholars and men of letters, people on this land are honest and kind, they work hard on their land and love reading.

I was born in Chen Ao, upper the Lanxi River, Jan.21, 1958(Dingyou Nian, Dec.2, according to the Chinese lunar calendar). The family background was not so rich and good, but influenced by the local Geng Du spirit, I love reading and painting, since I was a little boy. My mother passed away when I was two years old. Luckily my stepmother treated me like her own son, taking good care of me. From the words of my father and the relatives, my mother was a kind-hearted, diligent and smart woman. She was good at needlework, especially Chinese embroidery, fancying to drawing, but not opportunity to expose her arts potential because of social unrest and life trivia. I am very sorry for that. My father is honest and kind, sincere and diligent, always leads a thrifty and simple life. From my father I learnt to be kind to family members, caring to the relatives and loyal to friends.

I became an apprentice as a quarrier followed a teacher since graduation from middle school. To do this I could subsidy households and save money for further study. During this time, I studied carving hardly, chisel as my brush and huge stone as the paper. Moreover, to strengthen body, I patiently learnt and exercised martial arts. I still enjoy myself under heavy workloads. Later because of the appreciation of Yongjia county government, gained the only one opportunity for the recommendation to study mechanics at university. Then I set up the business of the design and manufacture of environmental protection equipment. So in some sense, I stayed together with high mountains, steep cliffs, huge stones, clean streams and flying waterfalls with the yearn for the return to nature, from my childhood to adulthood.

When I just stepped on the society, I had to hurry for basic needs. At the beginning of the business, I was busy with day-to-day running and expanding the business, leaving little time to take part in other activities, but I never stop the dream of arts. Whenever I was available, I read ancient works, wandering in them, just for comfort. When the company (Zhenjiang Huate Environment protection Equipment Industrial Company) had been on the smooth path, the mind of painting recovered naturally from the bottom of heart, then I immersed in the world of Chinese traditional painting, couldn’t draw myself out. Along all painting branches I only love landscape painting. Although all of mountains and waters that I draw bear the spirit of Lanxi, but they can never surpass it. Perhaps that’s because I have already kept the whole sky, white clouds, green mountains and clean waters of the world in my mind under the consciousness of environmental protection. Occasionally I would dabble in other painting branches. With brushes in my hand, I can express the will and the dream, love and emotion. Although I never thought to be a master in the world of art, painting has been an indispensable part of my life. It seems that painting has been a third partner in my life.
