Mario born Mario Barrett is a Grammy nominated multi platinum selling recording artist. He is best known for hit singles such as “Let Me Love You” and “How Do I Breathe” which also spawned two successful Mario music videos. His beautiful melodic voice, stylish R&B songs and cool Mario music videos catapulted him to stardom from a young age in the R&B teen market.
Mario released his debut album in 2002 entitled “Mario” whilst still a teen. He then released his first single “Just A Friend 2002” which was accompanied by a stylish Mario music video which instantly gained lots of airplay catapulting “Just A Friend 2002” to Number 4 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Further singles and more Mario music videos were released including “Braid My Hair” and “C`mon” helping his debut album sell 700,000 copies and marking out Mario as another potential R&B teen superstar.
As Mario grew as an artist he then decided he wanted to release a more mature album and so enlisted heavy weight producers such as Scott Storch and Lil Jon. The first single was the majestic and beautiful “Let Me Love You” written by R&B superstar Ne-Yo and Scott Storch. This beautiful song and the accompanying Mario music video was a huge success eventually going to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Suddenly a new R&B superstar was born. Other songs and Mario music videos were released including the smash hit “Here I Go Again” and “How Could You” which helped his album “Turning Point” sell more than 3 million copies worldwide.
Marios third studio album was entitled “Go” and was released on October 9 2007. It included a title cut produced by the hot production team The Neptunes and also featured collaborations with Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo and producer Scott Storch. The first single to be released was the infectious “How Do I breathe” and this was accompanied by another stylish Mario music video. Further singles and Mario music videos were released including the cool melodic “Crying out for me” and “Music for love” helping Mario`s album “Go” sell more than 331, 540 copies in the US.
