If you need office space there is a new kind of office space available. It is known as a virtual office. As the name suggests this kind of office space is not entirely real. It is a form of temporary or partial office space.
How a Virtual Office Works
There are several kinds of virtual office space available. Usually they consist of a genuine office space, with facilities you can use as and when you need to.
A virtual office gives you an address to which you can have your mail sent. If you want to you can have that mail forwarded to you by post or you can have it opened for you and have copies faxed or emailed to you. Some locations include a fax number. People can send you faxes, which are then forwarded to you via e-mail.
In addition, you can have business calls received at that address on a number that is exclusive to you and your business. Simple messages can be taken for you or calls can be automatically forwarded to another
number or to your mobile. If you pay a little extra a real receptionist will answer these calls for you and will do so, using your company name.
If you need somewhere to hold meetings or meet clients, you can often rent space in the building to hold those kinds of meeting.
Is Virtual Office Space Right For You?
A virtual office gives you all of the advantages of a real office without much of the cost or hassle of running a regular office. To your clients it looks like you are a regular, well-established business with your own offices. This gives them confidence to use you. In addition, you effectively get limited reception and secretarial services for a fraction of the cost.
If you are just staring out in business, a virtual office is ideal for you. The same is true if you work on your own, but spend a lot of time on the road. You get the support you need without the need to employ someone full time or on a permanent basis.
